We are really pleased to be showcasing the development of our project to provide resources that we hope will have long-lasting and wide-reaching consequences for the way we exchange ideas, tell stories and communicate.  The project is called Pararchive: Open Access Community Storytelling and the Digital Archive and is funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC).

The project started on 1st October 2013 and will run until 31st March 2015 when Pararchive will be launched.

The project is based at the Institute of Communications Studies (ICS), University of Leeds, and is part of the AHRC’s Connected Communities theme. It has been funded under the Digital Transformations in Community Research Co-Production in the Arts and Humanities. The project involves a range of community partners – all with their own areas here – and the Universities of Leeds and York, the Science Museum and the BBC.

We hope you will continue to follow our progress and join in our conversation threads and spread the word. Also, we invite you to submit an abstract for our Pararchive Conference and Community Showcase scheduled for Friday 27th – Saturday 28th March 2015 at stage@leeds. More details can be viewed here.

Find out more about the project here and follow us on Twitter at @pararchive and on Facebook.
